I am a Colorado native who grew up in Colorado, New York and NC. I met my husband Jim at NC State University and we then completed his veterinary education in Auburn Alabama. I completed the CPA exam and was licensed in 1985.  We moved to Galax Dec 1985 and I opened my accounting and tax practice in 1988 shortly after my daughter was born (a true tax season baby born on April 15!). Our son followed in August 1990 and we spent many years at fun, exciting sporting events. Our family loves to snow ski and travel. Both kids are now married to wonderful people and I am enjoying this transition time before the grandkids arrive!

I have been so very blessed to have the clients that I do and the staff that makes all things seem possible.

I am a Galax native with two wonderful girls (almost 15 years apart).  My oldest just celebrated her 1st wedding anniversary and is adjusting very well to married life.  My youngest just turned 8 and is doing well in 2nd grade.  I enjoy landscaping, gardening, canning, kayaking, and being active in my church and community.

For 10 years I was employed as a customer service rep and feel that I built strong, confidential relationships with clients. Following a layoff, I went back to college and earned my Associate degree in Accounting and Management in 2011. I joined Lisa in March 2015 and am thankful for the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills in her office.

Libby Johnson

I am Lisa’s mom and have enjoyed working in her office since the early 90s. I am a Yadkinville NC native and have been fortunate to live in Colorado, PA, NY and VA. My husband of eleven years recently passed away and I have moved closer into Galax. I enjoy reading and anything to do with my grandchildren (especially sporting events)  or my kids. I am new to the exercise personal trainer phase of my life and am proud to be more physically fit than I ever thought I could be at 84 years old. I recently attended my first NASCAR race after being a fan for years! I have recently recovered from two hips and a knee replacement surgeries and life is so good.

Karen Easter

I am a Galax native and have been married to my wonderful husband Richard for 20 years!  We enjoy camping, the beach, and just being outdoors as much as possible.

I worked in the Accounting department at the Southwest Virginia Training Center for 27 years until it closed in 2019.  I came to work part-time for Lisa in April of 2019 and am learning all kinds of new accounting skills.
